Bouygues to build $105m data center in Dublin

Bouygues Energies & Services, a subsidiary of the French Group Bouygues was appointed as the main contractor to design and construct a large Data Centre on the outskirts of Dublin.

The facility is being housed within an existing warehouse. Once works are complete the total area will amount to approximately 118,000sq ft. Unfortunately for us contractors were already onsite by the time it came around to appointing a time lapse company, capable of meeting the high standards set by Boygues. Two time lapse cameras were installed, exterior and interior. There would be difficult times ahead since the complete roof had to be stripped and relaid. A fixed camera would have restricted the contractors and the same for the interior, where no walls were to remain in position. Working in collaboration with the QS and PM all obstilicles would be overcome.

The cameras recorded everyday for three months through all sorts of weather. The interior unit was mistakingly painted over but we were on site almost immediately to ensure our coverage would be to Bouygues expectations.
